Newcastle United vs Manchester United Match Preview
Manchester United will be looking to move a step closer to a Premier League title when they travel to face Newcastle United.

League leaders United currently hold a six point lead over second placed Arsenal, while Newcastle are currently six points above the relegation zone.

United goalkeeper Edwin van der Sar said this week that his team will be looking for a good performance and result to help them bounce back quickly from the weekend’s 1-0 FA Cup Semi-Final defeat to Manchester City. “It won’t be difficult to pick ourselves up. We know how important the league is,” Van der Sar told BBC Sport.

Kevin Nolan is suspended for Newcastle, while Steve Harper is doubtful with a knee problem. Cheik Tote and James Perch return from suspension for the Magpie’s, while Shola Ameobi should return from a knee injury.

Wayne Rooney and Jonny Evans will return from suspension for United, while Paul Scholes is suspended after his red card against Manchester City. Darren Fletcher remains sidelined for the Red Devils due to a viral infection.
